Question by futureman: Can abstinence (sexual inactivity) can cause impotence in the males?
I asked a similar question about one year ago and many people answered no. You should be reading medical articles before answering medical questions. You should scan an article, “How an erection occurs: Men’s intersexual health” by Faculty of the Harvard Medical school, one of the best in the country. It says,”Indeed, erections may work on an use-it-or-lose-it principle. Some research suggests that when the penis is flaccid for abundant periods of time and divested of a lot of oxygen-rich blood the humble oxygen level causes some muscle cells to misplace their flexibility and gradually change into something related to scar tissue. This scar tissue seems to intervene with the penis’s ability to spread out when it’s filled up with blood.”

Was there a question, or are you just trying to flaunt your erudition?
Give your answer to this question below!

depends of the inactivity if its along time like years or so..but he,s a guy masturbation is Always on his mind..
I disagree. there is natural system 4 young that is getting wet/ejaculation while dreaming. this act neutralizes sexual in activeness.
I didn’t see your first post of the question, but you are quite right here. Partly too why we get morning erections so as to keep your penis healthy.
Are we talking about 18 year old young men, or 40 year olds? And are we asking about those who aren’t having intercourse but are masturbating to orgasm?
A young man’s body is a semen factory, and one way or another, the pipes will clean themselves out, either through sex, masturbation, or nocturnal emission. As long as extreme measures aren’t taken to prevent this, the machinery will keep working.
In older men, there probably is a degree of “use it or lose it”. However, from a physiological standpoint masturbation is as good as intercourse. Men also do lose sexual potency with age, independent of use. So perhaps the best argument would be “use it while you can!”
